PURPOSE:To store recording carriers, such as X-ray films, effectively without reference to the attitutde of a storage device, by providing a means of isolating both the sides and the read end of each recording carrier, stored previously in a storage room, from storage space. CONSTITUTION:A flank holding material 36 is shaped to have a channel section and forms storage space, wherein a sheet film F is stored temporarily, together with another flank holding material 36' arranged opposingly to it, and the lower ends of those flank holding materials 36 and 36' support and isolate the side of a previously stored sheet film F' from the storage space when a receiving magazine is inverted. Further, a front pawl 42 supports and isolates the rear end of said sheet film F' from the storage space. When the sheet film F is moved to the storage space, the flank holding materials 36 and 36' oscillate and the front pawl 42 moves away from the movement path; if the sheet film F is not moved by its gravity, a press plate 47 is lowered from the storage space to the storage room along the movement path. |
