PURPOSE:To obtain a decorating glass plates having a fixed shape with high dimensional accuracy and being suited for mass production by fixing glass pieces prepd. by utilizing a numerical control program to metallic frames prepd. by casting to copy a referential shape regulated by a casting mold. CONSTITUTION:A metallic frame 1 is prepd. by copying a referential shape regulated by a casting mold in accordance with lost wax precision casting process, and forming a section 2 comprised of a horizontal part 12 and a perpendicular part 11. On one hand, glass pieces 31, 32...3n having a shape coinciding almost with said section 2 are obtd. by cutting a glass plate 4 with laser reproducing a referential shape regulated by a numerical control program. Then, obtd. glass pieces 31... are fitted to the section 2 so as to be held by the perpendicular part 11 and the horizontal part 12 of the above described T-shaped frame 1, and a flange part 13 is formed by soldering with a metallic wire to the top end of the perpendicular part 11 to fix the glass pieces 3. BY this method, a decorating glass plate copied to a fixed shape is obtd.
