PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a reading level of a small run-length signal becomes significantly small as higher the density of an optical disk is, a likeliest clock cannot be reproduced, bit slip is caused in the reproduced signal, and an error rate of the reproduced signal is deteriorated. SOLUTION: A timing correction circuit 26 outputs a plurality of information bit streams in parallel deviating by one bit each other, further performs run-length-decoding respectively and individually, extracts individually specific data for each of a plurality of signals after run-length-decoding, obtains a code word by collecting the extracted specific data by the prescribed number, information about the number of errors and error positions obtained by detecting errors for each of the plurality of code words is outputted as the error signal. The timing correction circuit 26 selects the signal after run-length-decoding corresponding to the error signal having the least error numbers out of a plurality of error signals as the likeliest information bit stream and output it.
