It is intended to provide: an animal for drug efficacy evaluation characterized by being constructed by sensitizing a nonhuman animal by administering a sensitizer directly to its lower airway and then administering an inducer directly to the lower airway to thereby induce asthma; a method of inducing asthma in an animal for drug efficacy evaluation characterized by comprising sensitizing a nonhuman animal by administering a sensitizer directly to its lower airway and then administering an inducer directly to the lower airway; and a drug efficacy evaluation method characterized by comprising administering a drug to the animal for drug efficacy evaluation as described above and then evaluating the function/effect thereof.
