PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high precision method for monitoring high-temperature oxidation of a metallic material, a monitoring apparatus and monitoring program used therefor, and a computer-readable recording medium that has the program stored. SOLUTION: In the method, a test section 2 which is composed of two metal strips 10a, 10b that are members to be oxidized, insulators 11a, 11b and a cavity section 12, is set under a high-temperature environment. The method comprises a step of measuring the AC impedance of the test section 2, while varying the frequency; a step of calculating at least one of respective values of capacitance and resistance of an air layer 12 and oxidized films 15a, 15b, from the measured value of the AC impedance of the test section 2; and a step of computing the behavior data of the oxidized films, from the relation between the calculated values and the data of the oxidized films.
