PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting structure excellent in fracture resistant strength, having a plurality of grooves for preventing electrification on the surface. SOLUTION: A glass mother material having a plurality of grooves on its surface is heated and drawn in a direction parallel with the grooves, and a laser beam is irradiated on an obtained glass substrate. By pulling one side of the glass substrate with an irradiation area as a center which is in a molten state, the grooves do not reach an end on the cut surface of the glass substrate at a fixed side, and a good R-shape is formed.
