PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical laser probe to be easily operated for recovering the cleanliness of the distal end of an optical fiber, suitable to be repeatedly used for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The laser probe comprises protection tubes 1 and 3, a hand-piece 26 to hold the distal ends of the protection tubes, an incident connector 22 to which the rear ends of the protection tubes are fixed, and the optical fiber 21 inserted into the inner lumen of each protection tube, whose distal end is held to project from the hand-piece and whose rear end is fixed to the incident connector. The protection tubes consist of a plurality of protection tubes with different outer diameters. The outer diameter of the narrow protection tube 3 of the adjacent tubes is smaller than the inner diameter of the other wide protection tube 1. The protection tubes have connection parts 2, 4 and 5 which connect the narrow protection tube stored inside the wide protection tube with the wide protection tube.
