PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the oscillation suppressive structure of a floating cover tank which is normally effective in storing an item stored in a tank preventing the item from contacting the open air and which, in a time of emergency such as an earthquake, prevents the item from spilling in a large amount by controlling the sloshing of a liquid level in the tank. SOLUTION: This oscillation suppressive structure of a floating cover tank formed between a tank main body 50 and a floating cover 10 placed on the surface of an item A stored in the tank main body 50 is provided around the periphery of the cover 10 with a seal part 1 for touching the inside wall 51 of the main body 50 and for separating the item A from the open air and a controlling part 2 for controlling the vertical movement of the cover 10. The part 2 is made of an elastic member which is more difficult to be return deformed than depression deformed having different depressing elasticity and return elasticity. The part 2 is usually separated from the inside wall 51 and when the surface of the item A is displaced, the same touches the inner wall 51 of the main body 50 to be deformed for generating resistance force between the wall 51.
