The present invention relates to a ginkgo biloba leaf flavonoid extract containing at the most 1 percent of terpenes and 28 to 32 percent of flavonoid extracts. The extract can be used as a flavoring component of a flavoring composition that is used in the preparation of foodstuff articles such as yoghurts, soft drinks and confectionery.
