The device has an articulated bar provided between inner and outer driven gears (1, 2) and movable around an axle (11) by conjoint actions of force of a spring (4), a centrifugal force and an inertial force. The spring is coupled to an adjusting screw (14) to adjust the spring force according to a mass of the bar. The bar is engaged in teeth of an internal crown via its tapered part when an engine torque appears on the driven gear.
