PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus and its image processing method capable of easily checking whether it is a skipped page or not and easily specifying a manuscript when the manuscript is replaced. SOLUTION: An image data creation portion creates an image data, and a storage control portion stores the image data etc. in a storing portion. When an instruction for skipping is inputted, a skip information appending portion appends a skip information to an image data for skipping prepared beforehand, and stores the image data for skipping etc. in the storing portion. When a request for displaying a list of image data is inputted, a display control portion displays a list of thumbnails of the image data and a list of thumbnails for skipping on a display.
