PURPOSE:To obtain the color liquid crystal display element, which can maintain a satisfactory display characteristic for a long time, by constituting an overcoat layer, which is formed on the color part of a color filter, to have an intrinsic multi-layered structure. CONSTITUTION:By providing a first overcoat layer 61 composed of epoxy resin on the color part of the color filter, oxygen diagnostic ability is improved and the color part is prevented from being degraded even to long-term use. On the other hand, since the film thickness of the first overcoat layer is set larger than 30% and smaller than 70% especially to the total sum of adding the film thickness of the first overcoat layer and that of a second overcoat layer 63, adhesion between an electrode and acrylic resin is sharply improved. As the epoxy resin, resin having >= 400kg/cm<2> tensile strength is especially preferable. As the acrylic resin, resin having >= 5H pencil hardness is especially preferable. |
