<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite material having small magnetic loss at milliwave band of 38 GHz, a self-biased non-reciprocal circuit element which is manufactured using the ferrite material, and a wireless device such as onboard radar on which the non-reciprocal circuit element is mounted. <P>SOLUTION: The main component of a ferrite substrate 3 is a general formula ä(Sr<SB>1-x</SB>Ba<SB>x</SB>)O-aMeO-b(Fe<SB>1-y</SB>M<SB>y</SB>)<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>} (where, Me is one or more kinds selected from among Co, Ni, Cu, Mn, and Zn, and M is one or more kinds selected from among Sn, In, and Zr). The primary phase is W-type Wurzite crystal structure, with 2<a≤3, 7≤b<8, 0≤x≤1, and 0<y≤0.40. Further, 2.3≤b/a<4.0. Either Mn or Zr is contained as unavoidable impurities, and the total contained amount of Mn and Zr is 1.5 wt.% or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
