PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference voltage generating circuit which supplies an optional output voltage. SOLUTION: MOS transistors M<SB>1</SB>and M<SB>2</SB>constitute a first current mirror. MOS transistors M<SB>2</SB>and M<SB>3</SB>constitute a second current mirror. The drain of the MOS transistor M<SB>3</SB>is connected to the ground via a resistor R<SB>4</SB>. MOS transistors M<SB>4</SB>and M<SB>5</SB>constitute a third current mirror. The drain of the MOS transistor M<SB>4</SB>is connected to a BIP transistor Q<SB>1</SB>via a resistor R<SB>1</SB>. The drain of the MOS transistor M<SB>5</SB>is connected to BIP transistors Q<SB>2</SB>-Q<SB>k+1</SB>. The base of the BIP transistor Q<SB>1</SB>is connected to a connecting point at which the MOS transistor M<SB>5</SB>is connected to the resistor R<SB>1</SB>. The connecting point is connected to the ground via a resistor R<SB>2</SB>. The bases of the BIP transistors Q<SB>2</SB>-Q<SB>k+1</SB>are connected to the BIP transistor Q<SB>1</SB>. Connecting points at which the MOS transistor M<SB>5</SB>is connected to the BIP transistors Q<SB>2</SB>-Q<SB>k+1</SB>are connected to the ground via a resistor R<SB>3</SB>.
