PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle that can get the behavior of the vehicle close to a desirable movement by shortening a time until the direction of steering front wheels follows the directions to which the steering front wheels should advance, and that suppresses the phenomenon of continuous vibration in the steering direction caused by reaction force that the steering front wheels receive from a road surface. SOLUTION: The electric vehicle is provided with rear wheels 2RL, 2RR that cause a driving force difference to occur to right and left wheels; front wheels 42FL, 42FR that change direction in the car body turning direction according to the turning of a car body; a variable drag means that varies the drag of the turning direction of the steering front wheels 42FL, 42FR; a steering-front-wheel target-direction-calculating means that calculates the direction to which the steering front wheels 42FL, 42FR should advance according to a turning target value; encoders 27FL, 27FR that detect the actual direction of the steering front wheels 42FL, 42FR; and a drag controlling means that outputs a drag-adjusting command to the variable drag means, in such a way that the larger the deviation between the direction to which the steering front wheels 42FL, 42FR should advance and the actual direction, the smaller the drag becomes.
