PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of easily accomplishing arrangement and weight reduction of a small and lightweight electric compressor and motor connection wires and prevention of leakage current. SOLUTION: An inverter device 20 is cooled through a suction pipe 38 by a low-pressure refrigerant sucked by the electric compressor 40; and the connection wires 26 from the inverter device 20 to the electric compressor 40 are arranged in the suction pipe 38. Thereby, the need of terminals for the electric compressor 40 is obviated; and leakage current can be prevented. The number of components is reduced, the size and weight of the electric compressor are reduced, and the arrangement of the connection wires is facilitated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
