<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress interruption in continuity of moving video as much as possible in continuous reproduction of moving video. <P>SOLUTION: The image reproducer comprises a buffer 103 for storing encoded image data stream temporarily, a circuit 111 for setting the storage size of the buffer, a circuit 110 for calculating the decode time for outputting the encoded image data stream from the buffer to a decoder, and a control circuit 112 for setting the storage size of the buffer not smaller than two times of the maximum storage size requested by an encoded image data stream reproducible by the image reproducer, starting to take an encoded second image data stream into the buffer immediately after the encoded first image data stream is taken into the buffer, and calculating the decode time of the second image data stream based on the time when taking of the first image data stream into the buffer is ended. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
