PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for hoses excellent in heat resistance and not accompanying occurrence of odor, occurrence of bloom, etc. at a low cost and to provide a hose using the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for hoses comprises (A) an ethylene-propylene-based copolymer, (B) white carbon having pH≥6 and having≥180 (mg-mol/kg) DBA value, (C) an peroxide-based crosslinking agent and (D) carbon black as essential components.
