<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorophor which can set light-emitting peak wavelengths in a range of yellow to red, and to provide a light-emitting device which comprises a combination of the fluorophor with a light-emitting portion, has an excellent color rendering property, and can emit various color lights. <P>SOLUTION: The fluorophor of composition formula: (Ba<SB>0.5</SB>Zn<SB>0.5</SB>)AlSiN<SB>3</SB>:Eu is obtained by preparing Ba<SB>3</SB>N<SB>2</SB>, Zn<SB>3</SB>N<SB>2</SB>, AlN, Si<SB>3</SB>N<SB>4</SB>, and Eu<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>as raw materials, weighing and mixing the raw materials, for example, in an element molar ratio of Ba : Zn : Al : Si : Eu = 0.493 : 0.493 : 1 : 1 : 0.015, and then calinating the mixture. The ratio of the Ba : Zn can be changed to set the light-emitting peak wavelengths of the obtained fluorophor. The fluorophor having the set light-emitting peak wavelengths is combined with a proper light-emitting portion, and thereby the light-emitting device having an excellent color-rendering property and various color lights can be produced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
