<p>Methods and an apparatus are provided for arc protection in motor relays. Circuitry such as a transient voltage suppressor, capacitor, resistor, and diodes can be implemented to prevent or minimize arcs and to allow for the current flowing through the motor to drop to zero or substantially to zero. The circuitry can also be configured to control the conductive emissions of the protective circuitry by determining the slope at which the current flowing through the motor is dropping.</p> |
