PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing shock-absorbing material which is usable for a long time, and capable of obtaining the excellent filling efficiency of a glass funnel for a cathode-ray tube, facilitating manufacturing and reducing cost, and facilitating laminating work and removing work. SOLUTION: A covering base 2 which covers the outer surface side of a part from the small opening end 22 of a funnel 20 to a body 25 via a yoke 26 and forms a quadrangular shape corresponding to its outer surface shape, and a shock-absorbing protective part 3 which is arranged on the top of the covering base 2 to cover the small opening end 22 are integrated with each other out of the same material. The material is preferably a corrugated fiberboard, and the shock-absorbing protective part 3 overlaps the top of the covering base 2 by folding the corrugated fiberboard.
