PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical mold clamping mechanism capable of preventing the vibration of a tie bar and the occurrence of molding failure in a vertical injection molding machine. SOLUTION: The uppermost fixing plate 14 among the support plate 12, fixing plate 14 and a movable plate 16 is supported by a mold clamping mechanism support member 11. If the uppermost mold clamping mechanism support member 11 is supported by the mold clamping mechanism support member 11, the injection device above the mold clamping support member and the mold clamping mechanism below the injection device can be divided from a structural aspect. If external force such as horizontal force is produced in the injection device, it does not reach the lower mold clamping mechanism and there is no vibration anxiety of the tie bar.
