The exhaust line (100) has a flexible (4) situated between a manifold flange (2) and a pollution controlling device (6). A service fixing flange (122) is fixed around a connecting tube (8) that assures connection between the flexible and the device (6). The flange (122) is integrated to a fixing unit (110) that permits to hold the exhaust line downstream the flexible. The fixing unit is placed very close to the flexible. An independent claim is also included for a method of repairing an exhaust line.
