PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate print image degradation caused by electronic zoom photographing and to improve handleability for a user. SOLUTION: A digital camera DC provided with an image pickup means for converting optical images to electronic image signals and a printer unit 1 capable of visibly printing and outputting the electronic image signals picked up by the digital camera DC to recording paper sheets are connected. The digital camera DC is provided with an electronic zoom function for electronically segmenting and photographing a part of images and controls at least one of the electronic zoom photographing and the print output of the images for which the electronic zoom photographing is performed on the basis of information relating to the number of output pixels of the printer unit 1.
