PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper ejector for sufficiently suppressing occurrence of slipping of a paper sheet from a paper sheet bundle, and ejecting the paper sheet bundle while suppressing deterioration in productivity. SOLUTION: The paper ejector is provided with a stapler 115 for forming the paper sheet bundle by binding a plurality of paper sheets together; an information obtaining part 119 for obtaining paper sheet information showing which image of a front surface, rear surface, or both surfaces is formed with respect to the respective paper sheets; a control part 118 for determining, based on the paper sheet information, whether or not a pair of paper sheets composed of two paper sheets wherein images formed on the respective paper sheets face each other exist in the paper sheet bundle; and a discharge roll 116 for accelerating the paper sheet bundle with either prescribed first acceleration or second acceleration having a value smaller than the first acceleration to discharge. The control part 118 controls the discharge roll 116 so as to accelerate the paper sheet bundle with the first acceleration when the pair of paper sheets do not exist. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
