PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronization method and system in redundant server configuration for shortening a time required for switching from an operation system server to a standby system server. SOLUTION: Each operation system server and standby system server connected through a network is provided with server monitor control parts 61 and 62 for monitoring the status of the server, and for controlling system management, memories 41 and 42 and replication functioning parts 51 and 52. The writing of data in the memories 41 and 42 is operated through replication functioning parts 51 and 52. In an operation system server, the server monitor control part 61 notifies the replication functioning part 51 of the generation of system switching in executing system switching, and the replication functioning part receives the notification of the generation of the system switching from the server monitor control part, and directly transfers the contents of the memory 41 through a network 90 to the memory 42, and synchronizes the contents of the memories 41 and 42 between the operation system and the standby system servers.
