PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer body having satisfactorily improved uniformity of resistance, a film forming liquid composition for forming the same and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer body 501 is used for an intermediate transfer apparatus 500 in which a plurality of color images formed successively on a photoreceptor 200 are placed one over another successively on the intermediate transfer body 501 to carry out primary transfer and are secondarily transferred collectively on a transferring material P. The intermediate transfer body 501 has a layer containing surface treated carbon black and a binder resin, wherein the surface treated carbon black is obtained by graft-reacting a water soluble polymer having an oxazoline group with the surface of carbon black which is mainly made up of a volatile acid component having 10-25% volatile portion, 10-30 nm primary particle diameter, 30-260 m<SP>2</SP>/g specific surface area, 30-300 cm<SP>3</SP>/100 g oil supply and a pH of 4 or below, and wherein the ratio of (water soluble polymer)/(carbon black) falls within the range of 20-40 mass%.
