PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension device for an automobile capable of enhancing the easiness in the installing operation of a coil spring on the suspension device and also the suspension device on an automobile body and of performing the installing operations still more safely and certainly. SOLUTION: The suspension device 1 structured so that the coil spring 22 is arranged between a lower arm 8 and the body 50, is equipped with a cross-member 2 fixed to the body and supporting the lower arm swingably, an upper coil spring seat 26 mounted removably on the body and supporting the coil spring, and supporting members 30 and 32 mounted on the suspension cross-member and supporting the upper coil spring seat, wherein the supporting members are mounted on the upper coil spring seat by bolt(s) 36 through a spacer 34 in such a manner as supporting the upper coil spring seat, and the spacer and bolt are arranged to be mounted removably.
