PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which eliminates the need for image processing for making a boundary line invisible at the time of recording moving picture data and can pick up a moving picture and a still picture of high quality by using one imaging element for recording the moving picture data and using a plurality of imaging elements for recording still picture data. SOLUTION: This imaging device is provided with a first imaging element 11a and a second imaging element 11b arranged adjacent side by side, a means for generating moving picture data from data of time series images picked up by the first imaging element 11a at specified time intervals, a means for generating one piece of still picture data from data of images picked up by the first imaging element and the second imaging element, a means for performing processing for recording the moving picture data and the still picture data, and an optical axis adjusting means for matching the optical axis with the first imaging element 11a in recording the moving picture data.
