PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method for appropriately evaluating the storage design of a wideband transmitter. SOLUTION: (1) The measurement data of the near-end crosstalk characteristics of a simulation line 10 are kept. (2) After setting various kinds of parameters such as the transmission speed of an xDSL line desired to be stored newly, the measurement data of a transmission spectrum are kept. (3) The geometric storage position of an existing transmission line and the xDSL line is recognized on the basis of the line opening conditions of a local laying cable scheduled to be arranged. (4) Pseudo crosstalk noise levels are calculated by using kept data in 1 and 2 for all line combinations satisfying the geometric storage position in 3 and the line combination for which the value is the largest is selected. (5) A simulation line length is set to a request transmission distance, a coexisting transmission test is performed by the line combination selected in 4, and the transmission quality of the existing transmission line at the time of coexisting transmission is measured.
