In a conventional edition device, it has been impossible to rapidly obtain an edition result. According to a list, only a necessary portion of a material to be edited is subjected to processing and only the result of the processing for this necessary portion is registered as an edition result in an external device. As compared to a case of registering the edition result of the entire range in accordance with the list, it is possible to rapidly register the edition result in the external device. Thus, it is possible to realize an edition device and method capable of rapidly obtaining an edition result.
