PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a weather strip for an automobile to seal a gap between a door and a body in the automobile or a gasket for a house. SOLUTION: In this sealant for a weather strip for an automobile, or a gasket for a house, glass grains 6 comprising micro-hollow glass balls having a true density of 0.10-0.80, and a grain size of 3-150μm, having such strength that are hardly crushed when mixed with rubber type elastic material to be kneaded by a kneading machine, are innumerably dispersed in the rubber type elastic material.
