PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat display device and a driving method for the flat display device and to improve accuracy of white balance as compared with the conventional art while effectively avoiding the increase of a chip area and the increase of electric power consumption when the driving method for the flat display device is applied to a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A plurality of signal lines are driven by time division and linked with this, a part of voltage dividing resistors R0, R54 to R63 to be used for generation of reference voltages V0 to V63 are changed over.
