<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foil type dynamic pressure gas bearing having excellent bearing performance using an easily manufacturable spring foil having excellent mass production property and to provide a dynamic pressure gas bearing having no restriction in the direction of rotation using a top foil fixing structure being easily mounted. <P>SOLUTION: The spring foil 12 composed of a thin and flat plate of an elastic material provided with a plurality of slits 16 is mounted on an internal wall of a bearing housing 11. A top foil 13 is arranged on an inner side of the spring foil, and a rotary shaft 14 is arranged on an inner side of the top foil to form many elastic beams in which the spring foil 12 is bent at a position of the slit 16 and comes into contact with an inner side of the internal wall, and the elastic beams support the rotary shaft 14 elastically. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
