PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyless chuck having both of an automatic lock mechanism and a manual lock mechanism. SOLUTION: This automatic lock mechanism provides an automatic lock for making the chuck into a fastened state when torque exceeds prescribed fastening torque. The chuck can be used in only the engaged automatic lock mechanism. Also the manual lock mechanism can be engaged as necessary. By the engagement, rotation of the outside sleeve in relation to the main body is prevented. By using a holding function, the operation of the manual lock mechanism can be suppressed between positions of lock (locking) and unlock (unlocking).
