PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of vibration and abnormal sound of a shock absorber. SOLUTION: In this shock absorber D1 provided with a ball screw nut 4, a screw shaft 1 screw-fitted into the ball screw nut 4 rotatably, and a motor M to which rotation on a screw shaft 1 side is transmitted, and suppressing relative travel in the axial direction of the ball screw nut 4 and the screw shaft 1 by electromagnetic force of the motor M, the ball screw nut 4 is provided with a cylindrical main body 5, a spiral passage 6 opposing to a thread groove 3 of the screw shaft 1 provided on an inner peripheral side of the cylindrical main body 5, a circulation passage 7 for connecting both ends of the passage 6, a plurality of balls 8 stored in aligning in the passage 6 and the circulation passage 7 and interposed between the cylindrical main body 5 and the thread groove 3, and a resin spherical body 9 interposed between each ball 8.
