PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method for preventing the generation of coating deficiency by making a coating amount in a width direction of a curtain film uniform by relaxing distortion of both edges of the curtain film caused by a tea pot phenomenon and making a collision line of the curtain linear even under conditions of various kinds of physical properties of a coating liquid and a flow rate. SOLUTION: In the subject curtain coater, both side ends of the coating liquid of at least one layer are supported by a flat plate type edge guide, the curtain film of the coating liquid is formed and a support is coated with it. The curtain coater is characterized in that an angle formed by the contact liquid surfaces of the edge guide each other can be varied within a range smaller than 90°. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
