<p>Particulates analyzer comprises an imaging system (1,2) for recording particles (20) on a movable substrate (9) which is illuminated by an LED ring device, via an adjustable optical polarizer (6,12) providing images at two polarization angles. The substrate position, polarization settings and imaging and are controlled by a processor (3). Independent claims are included for systems employing the features of a down-lit stereo microscope, circular LED illuminator (5) and, a film ring polarizer (6) adjusted via a stepping drive (13).</p> |
