<p>The invention concerns a lightning conductor with a priming device comprising an electrically conductive body (2) designed to emit corona discharges forming a rising precursor, said conductive body (1, 2) being connected to the earth through a main spark-gap oscillator consisting of an insulating bushing (6). The conductive body (1, 2) is also connected to the earth parallel to the main spark-gap oscillator, through a circuit (4) limiting and controlling the glow current (l) circulating in the conductive body (1, 2). The method consists, inter alia, in reducing to a minimum the glow current (l) as long as a lightning impact is not imminent and in allowing the glow current to develop just before such a lightning impact.</p> |
