PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit which detects transient voltage in an electronic system which is equipped with a power supply port and a ground port. SOLUTION: The circuit comprises a capacitor, a rectifier, a preset resistor device, and a detector. According to one favorable embodiment, the detector has an input connected to the second terminal of the capacitor. In case that transient voltage is generated once at a power supply port and that the voltage at the second terminal of the capacitor is higher than threshold voltage, the detector outputs output voltage which shows the appearance of the transient voltage.
