PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera with a barrier having a lens barrier capable of opening/closing the front part of a photographic lens, eliminating the need of a driving source only used for opening/closing the barrier and realizing small arranging space. SOLUTION: A digital camera 1 being the camera with a barrier has the lens barrier 11 driven to open/close a lens aperture part 6a in a period other than the period of driving to advance/retreat a lens frame part 3 being a lens barrel. The lens barrier 11 is turnably supported on a 1st slide base, and the 1st slide base 21 is supported to move relatively to a 2nd slide base 22 capable of moving while sliding. The lens barrier 11 is driven to slide interlocked with a lens frame turning period being until starting set-up from the collapsing state of the lens frame part 3, so that the lens aperture part 6a is opened/closed. When the lens barrier 11 is at a closing position, it is fit in the lens aperture part 6a and held so that the front of the lens barrier 11 and the surface of the periphery of the lens aperture part may form the same plane.
