PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass breakage detector capable of effectively detecting abnormal temperature of a glass plate of a window or a door. SOLUTION: The glass breakage detector comprises a temperature detecting means 1 for detecting temperature leading from a normal temperature to a temperature lower than a malfunction occurrence temperature, a temperature determining means 2 for determining whether the temperature detected by the temperature detecting means 1 is normal or abnormal, and a communication means 3 for transmitting an emergency signal when the detected temperature is determined to be abnormal. The temperature detecting means 1 has a glass temperature detecting section 5 for detecting surface temperature of the glass plate 4 to which the temperature detecting means 1 is fixed.
