<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a static image with high quality, even though irreversible compression processings using orthogonal transform calculation are performed. SOLUTION: A combination camera/video tape recorder 1 comprises a camera imaging part 11, a static image processing part 12, DV data processing part 13 and a write/record part 14. The tape recorder 1 has not only an imaging/ recording functions of moving images but also digital still camera functions. When performed still imaging, a processing part 12 transforms captured static images to 64 pieces of static image for storing. For each static image for storing, since each pixel value (8 by 8) composed of each DCT(discrete cosine transformation) block becomes equal to a value of a prescribed pixel of tHE captured static image, so that the static image for storing turns into an image, whose DCT block is composed of only DC components.</p> |
