PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device having a vehicle stabilizing function capable of surely preventing unstabilization of vehicle behaviors such as spinning working together with a vehicle stability control of a braking control device. SOLUTION: When a braking control device 2 is actuated by detecting unstable behaviors of a vehicle, a step-drive current setting part 150 selects a step-drive pattern suitable for stabilizing vehicle behaviors by steering of vehicle wheels based on its actuation signal S and a step-drive map 152, so as to output a step-drive current value Ist corresponding to the step-drive pattern. The step-drive current value Ist is added to an assist current value Ia, so as to decide a current target value It for driving a motor.
