PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article conveying device capable of realizing enhancement of conveying ability. SOLUTION: The article conveying device is constituted such that a control means 14 transmits traveling speed instruction information for the article conveying truck 3 to a traveling driving means 7 at every speed instruction timing and a traveling driving means 7 travels the article conveying truck 3 at a traveling speed instructed by the traveling speed instruction information based on the traveling speed instruction information from the control means 14 received at the speed instruction timing. The traveling driving means 7 determines speed information for non-receiving based on the traveling speed instruction information received at the former speed instruction timing and the present actual traveling speed information in the receiving abnormality state in which the traveling speed instruction information from the control means 14 is not received at the speed instruction timing; and travels the article conveying truck 3 at the traveling speed of the determined speed information for non-receiving.
