<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a resin-coated stainless steel sheet that is suitable for an application of utilizing a beautiful surface texture peculiar to stainless steel, by covering the surface of the stainless steel sheet with an organic resin film which acts as a lubrication film while the stainless steel sheet is worked, and which can be easily dissolved in warm water and removed after the stainless steel sheet has been worked. <P>SOLUTION: The stainless steel sheet coated with a warm-water-soluble resin comprises: a substrate of the stainless steel sheet having a surface region between the surface of the steel sheet and a 10 nm deep plane therefrom, in which a ratio of Cr2p<SB>3/2</SB>peak intensity in Cr(OH)<SB>3</SB>-nH<SB>2</SB>O to that in Cr<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>is adjusted to 0.5 to 2.8; and a film of a polyvinyl alcohol having a saponification degree of 90 mol% or higher, formed thereon. The resin for the film is preferably a polyvinyl alcohol with a polymerization degree of 300 to 3,000, and may contain a lubricant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
