The invention relates to an attachment for a horseshoe, for improving the horse's footing on a slippery surface. The attachment according to the invention is designed to engage both leg portions of a horseshoe, to which end the length of the attachment can be varied such as to allow points of the attachment to penetrate the horseshoe.
