The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock, which is equipped with a ratchet-type mechanism (1, 2), at least one inner actuating lever (4a, 4b), an outer actuating lever (10), a theft-prevention device (16, 17), and with a child-safety device (20, 21). According to the invention, the theft-prevention device (16, 17) and the child-safety device (20, 21) act upon the ratchet-type mechanism (1, 2) by means of a common coupling element (11, 19a). This coupling element (11, 19a) couples the ratchet-type mechanism (1, 2) either to the inner actuating lever (4a, 4b), the outer actuating lever (10) or to both of these levers (4a, 4b; 10). |
