PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical unit for an optical head in which accurate positioning that is required for the optical unit of the interchangeable optical head constituted of three optical elements is easily conducted among the optical elements. SOLUTION: The optical unit for the optical head has first to third optical elements, a spacer which is held between the first and the second optical elements, a fist mirror frame which holds the first optical element and the spacer and a second mirror frame which holds the second and the third optical elements. In the second mirror frame, a gap is formed to slide either of the second or the third optical elements in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis. The first mirror frame is fixed to the second mirror frame and a gap is formed to slide the first optical element in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis using one of surfaces of the spacer as a sliding section.
