PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote the stabilization of an operation restoration temperature at a cancellation time of defrosting in a thermostat having a defrosting push button or the like that controls the inside temperature of a storage room of a refrigerator or the like. SOLUTION: On the end face on a differential lever 37, because a round hole 37d is formed which is larger than a differential pin stem 38 but smaller than a differential pin stepped part 38a, and there is a clearance between the differential pin 38 stem and the differential lever 37, the frictional force of a penetrating hole 32 that penetrates the differential pin 38 and a cam 33 is made difficult to be added to the differential lever 37 engaged with the differential pin 38, so that a stable defrosting restoration temperature can be obtained in which temperature variations are reduced. Furthermore, after inserting the differential pin 38 through the differential lever round hole 37d, a cap 38d is mounted on the differential pin lower end 38c, or the differential pin lower end 38c is molded to form a constitution having a larger diameter than that of the round hole 37d of the differential lever 33, so that the differential pin can be incorporated easily without using a special kind of a jig or the like, and that an inexpensive thermostat can be supplied in which the numbers of assembling man-hours is reduced.
